Sometimes you feel like you're barely tying up the broken ends of your life as everything is collapsing around you. Times like these can certainly feel that way. But no one's alone in that feeling. We're all in this together. It is perhaps the sense of camaraderie that could get us across to the other side.

On of the things that interests me most about Cathrin Peterslund's work is that there is simplicity, yet elegance in her work. A line is not just a line, and in each detail there is much more than meets the eye. Every illustration from her is such a full experience.

Sometimes you just wanna cut open into your head and see what's there because you yourself don't even recognize what's going on. But even if you do, chances are, you'll be just as confused, and that's all right. It's the mystery that keeps life interesting.

Works by Holly McGillis often seem to evoke 'divinity', and it's not really in the sense of religion or anything like that. It is something that provokes awe in regards to a greater being beyond us. Not a god nor a deity per say, but something more inexplicable and fantastic.

It just seems that as we grow older, we tend to lose the playfulness we used to have as children. While it is easy to lament the loss or awkwardly mimic children-like activities to try to evoke that feeling again, the reality is that what we must learn to do is stop, observe, and simply let ourselves drift in the moments, whether enjoyable or not. While simple, it is the hardest thing to do.
