JADE ARMSTRONG

WEBSITE

Jade is a comic artist and illustrator from Ontario, Canada, and also a very cool, genuine, and awesome gal! She also goes as @jelajade on all social media!

Jade specializes in slice-of-life, watercolour, and character-based stories. Her work has so much charm and heart in it. You can’t help but fall in love with it instantly! I LOVE this little omake-style comic about these two. I sure wish I could’ve made this canon haha! Jade also ran the comics club at Sheridan and I can’t deny how much of a big inspiration she’s been in my life!! Her positive energy and passion really got me into reading and then making comics myself. To have her create guest art for me is kind of surreal for me haha!

SPIKE SAMUELS

TWITTER | WEBSITE

Spike is a comic artist, illustrator, and fellow 4th year animation student at Sheridan College. Their work focuses on bright colours, mechs, music, comics, and interactive fiction! You can find him on social media as @spikesamuels!

Spike has such beautiful, charming, and bright art! I’m always so inspired by his use of soft colours and textures in his work. Spike draws inspiration from classic video game, retro anime, comics, and tabletop gaming. His art style feels like a comic is coming alive and it’s hard not get hooked to it. I was so happy he offered to create guest art for me! Just look at this badass drawing of Iona with those candy colours! I dare say he draws Iona better than I do (it’s true).

LIAM MANN

INSTAGRAM

Liam is an animator and another fellow Animation Student from Sheridan College! He specializes in traditional hand-drawn animation and his work feels like it’s ready to come alive! He isn’t online too much but he’s probably gonna animate some hit shows you’ll see coming around.

I’m SO excited to have Liam on board with guest art this month. He’s an exceptionally talented, humble, and overall great guy and I’m so glad I can share his work with you all. He’s a master draftsman with such a solid sense of form, space, and shape as well. Just look at this drawing! I love how he draws Sol and Lunik. They look like they’re straight out of an 80’s cartoon and ready to kick butt.

NOTE FROM THE CREATOR

I’m back from hiatus! Officially!! Thank you for your patience and sticking with me. I severely underestimated how much time and energy I’d have while I worked full-time all summer. But now that my work is done and I’m back to school, I can finally get back to doing what I love. I’m so excited to get back to drawing comics and building more for this world so I hope you stick around. Chapter 3 is well on it’s way and I hope you enjoy it.

Intercosmic will update on the 15th of every month with a new “scene” or selection of pages from now! No more inconsistencies. I’ll be doing my darn best to keep it up!

Thanks for your love and patience always!

Love,
Kristina
